In order to overcome this limitation, we have constructed an X-ray diffraction system combined with a pulsed magnet. The structural phase transition of PrCaMnO around 8 T and the valence transition of YbInCu around 26 T are shown as a demonstration.

A 20T pulsed field can be generated using an energy of 1kJ with typical pulse duration about 1ms. Electron spin resonance experiments in millimeter wave range and high-field X-ray diffraction experiments have been done successfully.
