Reply to "Comment on '$$^{138}$$La-$$^{138}$$Ce-$$^{136}$$Ce nuclear cosmochronometer of supernova neutrino process'"

We have proposed a new nuclear cosmochronometer $$^{138}$$La(T$$_{1/2}$$=102 Gyr)-$$^{138}$$Ce-$$^{136}$$Ce for measuring the time elapsed from a supernova $$nu$$ process episode. $$^{138}$$La is synthesized by the $$nu$$ process. If a 1$$^+$$ excited state exists at energy lower than 72 keV, the 1$$^+$$ state may be a $$beta$$ unstable isomer and $$^{138}$$La synthesized by the $$nu$$ process is destroyed via the isomer. Recently, Byelikov et al. have measured Gamow-Teller strength distributions in $$^{138}$$La. It has been presented that this experiment shows that the existence of a low-energy 1$$^+$$ state in $$^{138}$$La is extremely unlikely. Our calculated result is consistent with their result and we conclude that there is no evidence that suggests the existence of the 1$$^+$$ isomer in $$^{138}$$La.

Excited states in $$^{136}$$Ba, populated in deep-inelastic collisions by the interaction of 450-MeV $$^{82}$$Se ions with a $$^{139}$$La target, have been studied by means of in-beam $$gamma$$-ray spectroscopy. A new isomer with $$I^pi=(10^+)$$ has been identified at an excitation energy of $$E_x=3.357$$ MeV. The half-life was determined as $$T_{1/2}=94pm10$$ ns. The extracted $$B(E2)$$ value is much smaller than those in $$^{132}$$Te and $$^{134}$$Xe. This hindrance is investigated by a shell model calculation.

Measurement of $$B(M1)$$ for the $$pi p_{3/2} nu p_{1/2}^{-1}$$ doublet in $$^{68}$$Cu

Lifetimes of excited states in $$^{68}$$Cu were measured by the $$gamma$$-$$gamma$$-$$t$$ coincidence with two BaF$$_{2}$$ detectors through the decay of $$^{68}$$Cu$$^{m}$$ produced by the ($$n$$,$$p$$) reaction. The halflife of the 2$$^{+}$$ state at 84~keV was obtained as 7.84(8)~ns, corresponding to the $$B(M1; 2^{+}rightarrow1^{+} )$$ value of 0.00777(8)~$$mu_{N}^{2}$$. A shell model calculation with a minimum model space of $$pi p_{3/2}nu p_{1/2}^{-1}$$ gives a good prediction of this $$B(M1)$$ value by using experimental g-factors of neighboring nuclei. This small $$B(M1)$$ value can be explained by a shell model calculation with the $$f_{7/2}^{-r}(p_{3/2} f_{5/2}p_{1/2})^{n+r} (r=0,1)$$ model space.
