We report a nuclear demagnetization ultra-low temperature stage, which is under construction for the neutron scattering experiments below 1 mK. This stage will be used for the study of heavy fermion nature, or multiple ordering in f electron compounds.

Oral presentation

Instrumentation for neutron scattering experiments at ultra-low temperatures at MUSASI beam port in JRR-3

Metoki, Naoto; Kaneko, Koji; Sugai, Takashi; Abe, Satoshi*; Suzuki, Haruhiko*; Koike, Yoshihiro*

no journal, ,

We will report for the recent development of the ultra-low temperature neutron scattering experiments on the beam port, "multi-purpose thermal neutron application and science" (MUSASI) in JRR-3. This beam port provides an opportunity for difficult or time consuming experiments such as neutron scattering at ultra-low temperature. A nuclear demagnetization stage is now under construction for this purpose. We briefly present the recent situation and future of our study on f electron compounds.
