The method is basically the measurement of track volume by the widths, depths, and angles of tracks of exposed nuclei of H, He, Li, Be, and B in nuclear emulsion at Riken Projectile-fragment Separator of RIKEN Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory. After their calibration by particles, we obtained a quadric function to present a unified recognition of tracks with volume ratios of five nuclei to the particles. The function in the emulsion has been applied to a candidate event of a hypernucleus for identification of the production and decay processes. We succeeded in recognizing a daughter nuclear fragment of a single- hypernucleus as He with a likelihood ratio of 0.9; the process was then uniquely identified as + N Be + He + .

An interaction between K and nucleus is studied by using the X-ray from the kaonic atoms for a long time. However, it is difficult to determine the K-nucleus interaction by using only kaonic-atoms data because the value of shift and width of the X-ray depend not only the potential depth but also the type of theoretical model. Thus, we study the -nucleus interaction by comparing an observed missing-mass spectrum of the C(K, p) reaction with the DWIA calculation. Such a study has already reported from KEK-E548 experiment. However, their experiment is not enough to determine these interaction because they were pointed out about the experimental condition. Thus, we performed the further experiment to take the real spectrum of C(K, p) reaction at J-PARC.

Double hypernuclei are important probes to study the system with strangeness = -2. A double hypernucleus He was clearly identified in the KEK E373 experiment. We are planning an upgrade experiment to search for double hypernuclei at the J-PARC K1.8 beam line. In the experiment, the KURAMA spectrometer system will detect production in the reaction on a diamond target. Tracks in SSDs and emulsion will be automatically connected by a hybrid method. This statistics is more than 10 times as high as that of the KEK E373 experiment. Discoveries of more than 10 new double hypernuclear species are expected. On the other hand, we will also observe rays from atoms with a Germanium detector array. This will be the first measurement in the world and give information on the potential shape at the nuclear surface region. In this talk physics motivation and current status of the J-PARC E07 experiment will be presented.

We have carried out an experimental search for the simplest kaonic nucleus, , by using the reaction at = 1.69 GeV/. The differential cross section of this reaction with covering a wide missing-mass range from the production threshold to the (1405)/(1385) region has been measured for the first time. The inclusive missing-mass shape of the and production region was understood with a simple quasi-free picture except for an enhancement at 2.13 GeV/ due to a cusp. An obtained peak attributed to production was significantly shifted to the low mass side compared with the simulation by -24 MeV/.
