no journal, ,

Accumulation of Cs in basidiomycetes has been studied by analysis of SEM. The SEM analysis showed that Cs was accumulated in fungal hypha. Elemetal analysis indicated that Cs accumulated in the hypha of Lentinula was higher than K, suggesting high performance of Lentinula for Cs uptake.

no journal, ,

We have studied accumulation of radioactive Cs from forest litter. In this report, we grew basidiomycetes in laboratory and in forest litter. The growth of basidiomycetes in the laboratory caused an increase of radioactivity by about 2 times in soil containing hyphae than the soil without hyphae. In the forest litter experiment showed growth of hyphae at present.

The Chemistry state in the plant of radioactive fallout origin Cs

Kanno, Takashi; Kozai, Naofumi; Sakamoto, Fuminori; Yamasaki, Shinya; Shiina, Kazuhiro; Onuki, Toshihiko

no journal, ,

In order to clarify the migration behavior of radioactive Cs in the environment, the chemical states of radioactive Cs accumulated on the branches and staminate flower of plants was examined by autoradiography and sequential extraction techniques. The results showed that radioactive Cs concentration depends on the growth time of the branch of a Japan cedar or a staminate flower.
