A new nuclear data library, ImPACT/LLFP-2018, is developed for an innovative study on the transmutation of long-lived fission products. In this work, we estimated cross-sections based on a nuclear model code CCONE, reflecting new knowledge on the nuclear structure theory and cross-section measurement. For instance, we used microscopic nuclear model to improve a phenomenological level density model. The pre-equilibrium model parameters are also optimized based on new experimental data of RIKEN/RIBF. Present library stores neutron and proton-induced cross-sections up to 200 MeV for 160 stable/unstable nuclei covering the long-lived fission products such as Se, Zr, Pd and Cs. Through a comparison with available experimental data on the stable isotopes, it is found that the present data gives predictions of cross-sections better than those from JENDL-4.0/HE, TENDL-2017 and the INCL model.

A plan to produce Lu with high purity by using enriched Yb samples with irradiation of deuteron beams in accelerators has been discussed. However, since the other Yb isotopes contained in the Yb sample interacts with deuterons, Lu isotopes other than Lu are produced as impurities. Since the purity of Lu is important for medical use, a method to evaluate the impurity of Lu has been required. In this study, we proposed a new method to estimate production yields of each Lu isotopes in Yb samples with arbitrary isotopic compositions by using excitation functions of Yb()Lu reactions and the particle transport calculation code PHITS. The method plays an important role in discussing the isotopic composition of enriched samples to produce high-purity Lu using accelerators.

Although the number of study on them covering r-process nuclei is increasing recently, uncertainties of -delayed neutron and fission are still large for r-process simulations. Our purpose of this paper is to make a new database on -delayed neutron and fission. We developed a new theoretical framework for -delayed neutron and fission, and apply it to make a new data table. Calculated -delayed neutron branching ratios are in a good agreement with experimental data and the root mean square deviation is comparable to results of proceeding works. It is found that energy withdrawal by -delayed neutron emission sensitively varies Pn values for nuclei near the neutron drip line. Pf are sensitively dependent on fission barrier data. The new data table is to be used for study on r-process as well as other fields such as nuclear engineering.

In nuclear power reactors, delayed-neutron data play a crucial role in reactor kinetics calculations and safe operation. -delayed neutron data also have a significant impact in the field of nuclear structure and astrophysics especially as nuclei farther away from stability are explored at the new generation of radioactive beam facilities. Several compilations of -decay half-lives and delayed-neutron emission probabilities are available, however, complete documentation of measurements and evaluation procedures is often missing for these properties. Efforts to address this gap in nuclear data and create an updated compilation and evaluation of -delayed neutron properties were undertaken under the auspices of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which formed a Coordinated Research Project (CRP) on "Development of a Reference Database of Beta-delayed Neutron Emission Data". In this paper we summarize the work that was performed and present the results of the CRP.

In case of the electrode with LiPO coating. Experiments revealed a structural change to a high-capacity (activated) phase that proceeded gradually and continuously with cycling. The activated phase barely showed any capacity fading. We propose a mechanism of structural change with cycling: charging to a high voltage at a sufficiently low Li concentration typically induces irreversible transition to a phase detrimental to cycling that could, but not necessarily, be accompanied by the dissolution of Mn and/or the release of O into the electrolyte, while a gradual irreversible transition to an activated phase happens at a similar Li concentration under a lower voltage.
