パイロクロア型イリジウム酸化物Pb$$_{2-x}$$Ca$$_{x}$$Ir$$_{2}$$O$$_{7-y}$$の合成を固相反応を用いて行った。4.2Kから300Kまで電気抵抗と帯磁率を測定した。これらの化合物は金属的伝導を示し、帯磁率はCurie-Weiss則に従う。PbサイトをCaで置換すると金属的伝導が抑制される。

Pyrochlore iridium oxides Pb$$_{2-x}$$Ca$$_{x}$$Ir$$_{2}$$O$$_{7-y}$$ ($$x$$=0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8) were prepared by solid state reaction. The electrical resistivity and the magnetic susceptibility were measured between 4.2 and 300 K. These compounds show metallic conductivity and obey the Curie-Weiss law with temperature independent term. The metallic conductivity of Pb$$_{2}$$Ir$$_{2}$$O$$_{7}$$ is suppressed by the Ca substitution for Pb site.
