TASTEX Task-Fの基本的目的は、near-real-time核物質計量の考え方が小規模ないし中規模の再処理施設に対して適用出来るかどうかを、東海再処理施設をモデル施設として使いながら検討するということであった。1978年から1979年の間は、PNC東海工場のシミュレーション用数学モデルの作成、およびそれを用いた計量管理シミュレーションによる有効性評価研究を実施し、さらに1980年4月からは提唱したNear-Real-Time核物質計量管理モデルの現場試験を実施して、N.R.T.核物質計量が再処理施設に有効に適用しうることを示した。
