バックグランドガンマ線を対象に行った航空機による飛行サ-ベイの結果から、検出器系自己汚染寄与分、宇宙線寄与分、ラドン娘核種からの寄与、陸上における地殻ガンマ線の高度減衰特性、さらに広範囲な種々の地形地質のサ-ベイ結果について地上値との関係などについて解析・検討した。
