Purchase and Installation of Multiple Piezometric Logger Systems in Shallow Boreholes in the Mizunami Underground Research Laboratory Project

超深地層研究所計画における研究坑道掘削に先立ち、掘削前の地下水水圧や水質の確認をするとともに坑道掘削によるこれらへの変化を把握する目的で、敷地内に掘削される4本の浅層試錐孔に地下水水圧・水質観測装置を設置した。設置した試錐孔はMSB-1、MSB-2、MSB-3およびMSB-4号孔の4孔である。 本装置設置後、各水圧計測部における地下水水圧計測、地下水採水部における開閉試験および連続採水、装置全体のシール性能試験を実施し、装置の性能確認試験を行った。また、現位置での地下水水質計測プローブの作動確認を行った。

This contract is involved in installation of the multiple piezometric logger systems(MP systems) in order to make long-term measurement of groundwater pressure and graoundwater chemistry in boreholes named MSB-1,MSB-2,MSB-3 and MSB-4 before, during and after excavating shafts of the Mizunami Underground Research Laboratory. After the installation of the MP systems, the function of the systems was tested by measuring the pressure along the boreholes, measuring the water levels for performance check of the pumping ports and measuring in-situ groundwater chemistry with a prototype chemical probe.
