活断層の活動履歴調査手法に関する調査

本調査は、変位地形の詳細な調査および副断層の分布傾向の調査を行い、数万年前以降の活断層の活動履歴を調査する手法に関する基礎的な情報を整理したものである。調査にあたり、断層活動に伴う変位地形の詳細な調査を3つの事例対象地域(十勝断層帯旭断層、宮代断層帯垂井断層、阿寺断層系坂下地区)でおこなった。また、副断層分布に関して文献調査からその傾向を明らかにし整理した。

This report introduce several solutions for paleoseismological survey, especially the surveys for Late Pleistcene- Holocene faulting. One is a basic technique, detail topographical measurement and decide the age of the faulted surfaces. We applied this technique to three cases (Asahi fault on Tokachi active fault system ; Hokkaido, Tarui fault on Miyashiro active fault system; Gifu, Atera fault system; Gifu). On the other hand, we have to consider secondary fault, that is opposed to main trace of active faulting, in all its aspects. We defined back-thrusts as one of the secondary faults, and discuss their characteristics.
