アスファルト固化処理施設は、1997年3月11日(平成9年)の火災爆発事故により、昭和57年から開始した低レベル放射性濃縮廃液をアスファルト固化体へ変換処理する技術開発を終了した。この約15年間に廃液7,438m3を処理し、29,967本の固化体を製作した。固化体に関する製作、放射能データ等は、ドラム缶毎に製品管理情報を大洗工学センターの大型コンピュータ及び処理第二課パソコン内に収納し保存を行っている。これら情報は、アスファルト固化処理施設が開発運転を行ってきた貴重な情報であり、また将来の固化体処分に向けた技術基準整備作業には必要不可欠な情報である。本製品データ集は、アスファルト固化体ドラムNo.毎の塩成分量、アスファルト量および比率、固化体重量、全、TRU核種、核種濃度、貯蔵位置等をデータベース化して一覧にまとめ報告書とした。なお、施設の運転履歴と合わせて固化体製作履歴を把握する場合は、「廃棄体の確認に向けたアスファルト固化体の製作履歴調査結果」を参照されたい。

Low radioactive liquid wastes (LLW) from Tokai Reprocessing Plant were mixed and solidified with bitumen in the Bituminization Demonstration Facility (BDF). In the facility, the treatment operation was started from 1982, and it had been continued until the fire and explosion incident occurred on March 11, 1997. The LLW of 7,438 m were processed and the bituminized products of 29,967 drums were manufactured in the BDF for about 15 years. The process information of the bituminized products is important for fixing the technology indicator of bituminized products in the disposal. The bituminized products data, that is the inventory of the bitumen quantity, the salt quantity, the radionuclide concentration and so on in the drum, are saved in the main computer of O-arai Engineering Center and the personal computer of the Waste Condition Section. This report summarize the bituminized product data in the list.
