Na型スメクタイトの精製及び拡散試験用定方位試料の作製

クニピアPベントナイトを出発物質としてNa型スメクタイトの精製を行い、板状(膜状)の定方位試料を作製するとともに、それらを用いて、スメクタイト粒子の配向方向と層間距離を水分子2層に制御した拡散試験用圧縮スメクタイト試料の試作を行った。定方位試料及び粉末試料に対するXRD測定から、精製スメクタイトはほぼ均一に配列したNa型スメクタイトであることが確認された。また、スメクタイト粒子の配向方向と層間距離を制御した拡散試験用圧縮スメクタイト試料を試作した結果、水分子2層のみの層間を持つ乾燥密度で約1.8Mg/mの試料を作製することができた。
Purification of Na-smectite and preparation of plated-oriented samples (membranous samples) were carried out, and a compacted smectite sample for diffusion experiment, of which orientation of smactite particles and interlayernaperture were controlled, was manufactured for trial. It was identified that the purified Na-smectite is approximately a homogeneously arranged Na-smectite from XRD measurements for oriented and powder samples. A compacted smectite sample for diffusion experiment, of which orientation of smectite particles and interlayer aperture were controlled, was manufactured for trial. Consequently, a compacted smectite sample with a dry density of about 1.8 Mg/m and with only 2 water layers of interlayer aperture could be successfully manufactured for trial.
