中性子回折法による浸炭材の残留応力解析

本研究では、有効浸炭硬化深さを4mmにした丸棒の残留応力分布を中性子回折法により測定した。放電加工により切り出した小片試料に含まれる残留応力を考慮することで、浸炭材の無ひずみ状態における格子定数分布を正確に推定できる方法を考案した。この推定法を用いて求めた格子定数をもとに浸炭材の残留応力を測定した結果、丸棒の周方向及び半径方向に強い圧縮残留応力が発生していたほか、半径方向にも小さな圧縮応力が認められた。また、有効浸炭深さ付近において、圧縮から引張に遷移する様子を確認したが、高周波焼入れのような急激かつ大きな引張応力は認められなかった。

In this study, the residual stress distribution in the carburized cylinder was measured using neutron diffraction. Predictable method of the lattice constant in stress-free condition was developed by consideration of residual stresses in the coupon specimens cut from the carburized cylinder using spark cutter. The residual stresses in the carburized cylinder evaluated using the lattice constants predicted by this method were compression in the hoop and axial directions, and the small compression was observed in the radial direction. Furthermore, the transition from compression to tension was observed near the boundary between carburized layer and the substrate, whereas very high tension like the residual stress in induction hardened sample was not confirmed.
