反強磁性体NiOのNi$$K$$吸収端における共鳴非弾性X線散乱スペクトルの理論解析を行った。反強磁性基底状態をHartree-Fock近似で求め、内殻正孔によるポテンシャルをBorn近似で扱い、電子相関の効果を乱雑位相近似で扱った。結果として実験結果で得られているスペクトル形状とその光子波数変化依存性が定量的に説明される。

Resonant inelastic X-ray scattering at the $$K$$ edge in NiO is analyzed theoretically. The antiferromagnetic groud state is described by the Hartree-Fock approximation, the core-hole potential is treated within the Born approximation, and the electron correlation effect is considered within the random-phase approximation. Consequently, the observed spectral shape and its dependence on the momentum transfer of scattered photons are explained quantitatively.
