パルスラジオリシス法を用いて安息香酸水溶液の放射線分解反応の研究を実施した。はじめに過渡吸収スペクトル測定を行い、安息香酸が$$^{.}$$OHやO$$^{.-}$$を捕捉した際に生成される中間活性種の同定を試みた。次いで、中間活性種の生成挙動並びに競争反応法により、これらの捕捉反応の速度定数を高温まで決定した。さらに、これらの速度定数をもとにして高温における$$^{.}$$OHの酸解離定数p${it K$_{a}$}$の評価も試みた。

Pulse radiolysis technique was applied to investigate radiation chemical reactions in benzoate aqueous solution. First, transient absorption spectra were observed for visible region to identify transient species produced in the scavenging reactions of benzoate anion with $$^{.}$$OH as well as with O$$^{.-}$$. Subsequently, rate constants of the scavenging reactions were determined from build-up kinetics of the transient species as well as from competition method. In addition, we tried to estimate acid dissociation constant, p${it K$_{a}$}$, of $$^{.}$$OH at high temperatures based on the rate constants we determined.
