Development of focusing neutron supermirror

A focusing neutron supermirror has been developed for 1-dimensional focusing of wide-band neutron beam. The surface figure is elliptic along the long side of the mirror which is 400 mm in length and 100 mm in width. Focusing experiments demonstrated the focal size of 0.20 mm and peak intensity gain of 52 for wide-band neutrons of 3.5
