瑞浪超深地層研究所の建設状況

Current status of the construction work of Mizunami Underground Research Laboratory

日本原子力研究開発機構は、高レベル放射性廃棄物の地層処分研究開発の基盤となる深地層の科学的研究の一環として、岐阜県瑞浪市では、花崗岩を主な対象として超深地層研究所計画を進めており、深地層の研究施設である瑞浪超深地層研究所の建設を行っている。研究坑道は2010年10月現在、深度約460mまで到達している。本報告では、瑞浪超深地層研究所の建設状況について報告する。

JAEA's task is to provide the scientific and technical basis for safe geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste. This involves researches on development and improvement of techniques for characterization of the deep geological environment and a wide range of engineering for deep underground application in crystalline rock at "Mizunami Underground Research Laboratory (MIU)". MIU is currently being constructed. The Main and Ventilation Shafts had reached GL-460m. This report describes the summary of construction.
