TNRFにおける線量測定

JRR-3 7Rに設置されている熱中性子ラジオグラフィ装置(TNRF)は国内最高性能の中性子ラジオグラフィ設備である。TNRF内部における実験空間の拡大を図るため、昨年度TNRFを改造し、遮へい計算に基づき安全を担保しつつ、遮へい体壁のスリム化を行った。今年度、JRR-3の起動に伴い、装置周辺の線量を測定し、基準値未満であることを確認した。また、第1サイクル及び第7サイクルにおいて、TNRFで得られる中性子ビームのフラックス測定を行った。その結果についても報告する。

TNRF (Thermal Neutron Radiography Facility) installed in JRR-3 7R is the highest-performance neutron radiography facility in Japan. TNRF was constructed with thick shielding wall for use of nuclear materials, however, these materials had not been used. So, we have improved TNRF to expand the internal space last year, and the shielding wall was thinned based on calculations. In this year, in accordance with the run of JRR-3, we surveyed around TNRF to be found that the radiation does was less than standard value. In the 1st and 7th of JRR-3 operation cycles, we also measured neutron flax which can be obtained in TNRF. In this announcement, the outcome is reported, too.
