Current status of neutron supermirror development in the JAEA

中性子基盤セクションではJ-PARC/MLFにおける中性子ビーム利用の高度化を目的として高性能中性子スーパーミラーの開発を進めており、この研究開発により世界最高クラスの性能のスーパーミラーが得られている。AOCNSにおける本発表ではスーパーミラーの性能測定結果やさらなる高性能化のために進めている多層膜界面構造に関する研究についての報告を行う。

We have developed neutron polarizing and non-polarizing supermirrors by using the ion beam sputtering (IBS) technique for the J-PARC/NLF. The performance of the supermirrors fabricated in the JAEA and the recent studies of the multilayer consisting of a supermirror to realize a supermirror with a higher performance are presented.
