原子力の初学者向けに、その基礎である原子核物理についての解説を行う。まず原子核物理研究の歴史を述べ、最近の流れについて解説する。また核反応断面積の定義,概観,核融合反応を記述する近似式などについて説明する。

Basics of nuclear physics are explained for nuclear engineers. History of the research in nuclear physics is described, and recent trends are outlined. Nuclear reaction cross sections and approximate formula for fusion reactions are explained.
