The goal of this tutorial is to provide an introduction to the basic concepts in spintronics, and an overview of the recent closely related theoretical and experimental developments in the field of spintronics. This is a general introduction of spin current, spin Seebeck effect, spin motive force. (1) What is spin current?, (2) Angular momentum conservation and spin transfer torque, (3) Energy conservation and spin motive force, (4) Spin Hall effect, (5) Spin Seebeck effect.
