Real-time beam profile measurement system using fluorescent screens

Yuyama, Takahiro; Yuri, Yosuke; Ishizaka, Tomohisa; Ishibori, Ikuo; Okumura, Susumu

A real-time beam profile measurement system was developed for efficient operation of a uniform-beam tuning by multipole magnets. This system consists of CCD cameras, two fluorescent screens (Gd$$_{2}$$O$$_{2}$$S:Tb and Al$$_{2}$$O$$_{3}$$:Cr) and an image analysis program based on LabVIEW. Available fluence rate and relative transverse intensity distribution could be obtained from the fluorescence in this system. The intensity distribution measured by the system agreed well with the relative intensity distribution obtained with a Gafchromic radiochromic film.
