福島第一原子力発電所使用済み燃料プールへのヒドラジン注入効果と燃料集合体の長期健全性に係る課題を述べる。使用済み燃料プールへのヒドラジン注入による溶存酸素低減作用に対する放射線の影響を明らかにするため、微量のヒドラジンを含有する人工海水に$$gamma$$線を室温下で照射した。非照射下では溶存酸素低減作用は小さかったが、$$gamma$$線を照射すると著しく低減作用は増大した。室温のプール水への微量ヒドラジンの添加は、溶存酸素低減策として有効と考えられる。

The subjects "Effect of hydrazine injection on spent fuel pools in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and issues relating to the long-term reliability of fuel assemblies" are discussed. The effect of $$gamma$$-ray irradiation on deoxydation in aqueous solution by hydrazine was investigated using pure water and artificial sea water at room temperature. Concentration of dissolved oxygen was not decreased without $$gamma$$-ray irradiation, while concentration of dissolved oxygen was markedly decreased for one hour $$gamma$$-ray irradiation. It is believed that the small hydrazine addition to spent nuclear fuel pool water is effective as a method for decreasing concentration of dissolved oxygen.
