Status of the IFMIF/EVEDA prototype accelerator in Rokkasho Site

Kasugai, Atsushi

IFMIF/EVEDA prototype accelerator is called LIPAc. It is a deutron linear accelerator which consisted of an injector, RFQ, and a superconductivity linear accelerator, and aims at a 9 MeV/125 mA with continuum beam. The injector performed the continuum beam operation with the 100 keV/140 mA proton and the deutron at the CEA-Saclay France till the autumn of 2012. This injector was transported to Rokkasho site in Aomori prefecture after the completion of beam test. Moreover, RFQ will be from INFN of Italy in April, 2015, a superconductivity linear accelerator will be from CEA-Saclay in 2017, abeam dump will be from CIEMAT of Spain in 2016, respectively. After that, the installation, commissioning and integrated beam test will be carried out in Rokkasho site. At Rokkasho site, the full-scale installation and the assembly of the injector has been just started from March in this year. As a first step for operating as LIPAc, the injector will be carried out the beam test for the further high quality beam from this summer.
