「ふげん」照射済燃料被覆管の海水浸漬試験

福島第一原子力発電所の使用済燃料プール(SFP)から取り出される使用済燃料集合体の健全性評価に資するため、使用済みの「ふげん」燃料被覆管を用いて海水浸漬試験およびその後の強度評価試験を行った。その結果、80$$^{circ}$$Cの海水原液に1000時間浸漬しても使用済燃料被覆管に腐食発生及び強度低下が生ないことを明らかにした。

In order to contribute an evaluation of integrity assessment of the fuel assemblies that will be extracted from the spent fuel pool (SFP) of Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, the immersion test in seawater and following strength test were carried out on the fuel cladding tubes irradiated in Fugen Nuclear Power Plant. As results, it was found that the immersion in seawater at 80$$^{circ}$$C for 1000 hours did not cause corrosion or degradation of strength of the fuel cladding.
