Numerical simulation of thermal flow with steam condensation on wall using the OpenFOAM code

We have simulated multicomponent gas flow with steam condensation using the open source CFD code OpenFOAM. A steam condensation model is implemented in the multicomponent gas flow solver developed with OpenFOAM. In this condensation model, the amount of condensed water on the wall is calculated from the diffusive mass flux of steam coexisting with non-condensation gas. We have validated the model using the experimental data on condensation of steam-nitrogen mixture in a vertical or horizontal duct in literature and evaluated the performance of the model.
