International cooperation in radiation processing of polymers

As international cooperation relating to radiation processing of polymers, Takasaki advanced radiation research institute (TARRI) has joined the activities of bilateral collaborations in Asia, forum for nuclear cooperation in Asia(FNCA), Asia-Pacific regional cooperative Agreement (RCA/IAEA), etc. These international activities led the technology transfers of products prepared from radiation processing of indigenous polysaccharides. Recently started information exchange meeting for uranium recovery from seawater with DOE launched the aggressive research of uranium adsorbent with cooperation of universities in US. It is expected that know-how and research outcomes in TARRI will be globally disseminated by further human resources development and network organization in the international cooperation.
