割れ目充填物中の石英粒子が割れ目の成因の情報を保持している可能性があるため、結晶質岩の割れ目の特徴と、割れ目充填物中の石英粒子の特徴を比較した。その結果、石英粒子の形状は、割れ目の形成時期や熱水活動の程度の差を反映している可能性があることが明らかになった。

Quartz grain in fracture fillings retain potentially fracture-formative mechanism. Thus, we investigate relationship between fracture characteristic and structure of quartz grains in fracture fillings. This study yields that difference of structure of quartz grain implies temporal difference of fracture formation and/or difference of hydrothermal influence.
