Activities of Committee for National Radiation Dose in Japan Health Physics Society

日本国内では、東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の事故以降、被ばく線量への関心が高まっており、今後の事故の影響の評価では日常生活等で受ける線量の情報が必要となる。そこで、日本保健物理学会は、国民の受ける線量評価やその分布を検討するための委員会を2015年7月に立ち上げた。今回、本委員会での活動を放射線防護の専門家などの集う「保物セミナー」で紹介する。これまでに「新版 生活環境放射線」を参考にして、検討範囲や課題等を議論してきた。このうち、主要な検討範囲は、ほぼ等しく被ばくを受ける自然放射線として、放射線モニタリングデータや線量評価に用いるモデルについて、最新の知見などをレビューすることとした。また、委員会の議論の中で、最近のモニタリングデータに含まれる福島第一原子力発電所事故による影響の取り扱いの検討、被ばく線量への影響因子となる生活様式の調査等の必要性が言及された。

Concern for radiation dose arises in Japan after the TEPCO Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) accident. Estimation for radiation dose in a usual daily life is required to assess influences of the accident. Then, the Japan Health Physics Society established a committee to discuss national radiation dose and its distribution on July in 2015. The activities of the committee will be reported at Health Physics-seminar in which experts of radiological protection will participate. Up to now, discussions have been made on the scope and task of the committee by referring to "New edition - Radiation in living environment". The committee mainly focuses on natural radiation to which people is almost equally exposed. The newest radiation monitoring dose and dosimetry models are to be reviewed in the committee. In discussions of the committee, some members have mentioned necessities of effects of the Fukushima-Daiichi NPP accident on the recent monitoring data and daily life styles which may become an influential factor for dose assessment.
