Measurement of swelling volume of bentonite buffer material considering the influence of temperature

In the present study, in order to examine the temperature effect on swelling characteristics of bentonite buffer, a swelling volume test equipment that can control temperature of water supplied to specimen is developed. Swelling volume test is conducted using water of 20 and 40. Test result shows that amount of swelling volume in case of 40 is larger than 20.
