We have obtained new experimental data for nuclear structure of $$^{261}$$Rf through $$alpha$$-decay spectroscopy. We have reconfirmed existence of two $$gamma$$ transitions in the $$alpha$$ decay of $$^{261}$$Rf through $$alpha$$-$$gamma$$ coincidence measurement, and determined the $$alpha$$-transition energy very precisely through high-resolution $$alpha$$-fine structure measurement. On the basis of these experimental results, we have estimated spin-parities and neutron single-particle configurations of the ground- and isomeric states of $$^{261}$$Rf, and have obtained information on the single-particle configurations and nuclear deformations for heavier superheavy nuclei.
