Electronic states of EuCu$$_2$$Ge$$_2$$ and EuCu$$_2$$Si$$_2$$ studied by soft X-ray angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy

The Eu valence state of EuCu$$_2$$(Ge$$_{1-x}$$Si$$_x$$)$$_2$$ evolves with the Si concentration and the magnetic Eu$$^{2+}$$(x=0) state changes into the non-magnetic Eu$$^{3+}$$(x=1) state. In this presentation, we will present the results of angle-resolved photoemission experiments performed on EuCu$$_2$$Ge$$_2$$ and EuCu$$_2$$Si$$_2$$ and discuss the evolution of its electronic state with the Si concentration.
