This article shows an overview of the monitoring results around the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Station through nine years after the disaster in 2011. We explain the importance of understanding the characteristics of each radiation measurement technique to evaluate of the distribution of the air dose rate precisely and moreover some lessons we learnt from the accident. This presentation is one of series of five presentations regarding environmental radiation monitoring in Fukushima.
