Study on eutectic melting behavior of control rod materials in core disruptive accidents of sodium-cooled fast reactors, 28; Three-dimensional Raman spectroscopic analysis of B$$_{4}$$C-SS and FeB-SS eutectic melt

Boron carbide (B$$_{4}$$C), iron tetraboride (FeB) and stainless steel (SS) were eutectic-melted at 1250$$^{circ}$$C., and the reaction products were identified and their distribution was analyzed by three-dimensional Raman spectroscopy. In each case, it was found that a region containing Cr$$_{2}$$O$$_{3}$$ as a main component was formed around B$$_{4}$$C and FeB, and a region containing Fe$$_{3}$$O$$_{4}$$ as a main component was formed on the outer periphery.
