Measurement of nuclide-production cross sections by a few GeV proton bombardment on Si

At the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC), nuclide production cross section of silicon for GeV-proton incidence was measured. The experimental results were compared with past experimental data, calculated results with the PHITS code and the evaluated nuclear data library JENDL/HE-2007. In addition, the results were compared with the results for aluminum of which atomic number is close to that silicon.
