カーボンニュートラリティに向けて、SMR導入や革新炉技術などを含む、多様な原子力研究開発が進められている。本講演では、環太平洋地区における継続的かつ安全な原子力利用に向けて原子力機構が貢献し得る活動を紹介し、これを通じて、研究機関間の情報共有、地域の安全・防災の取り組みの重要性の確認、人的ネットワーク構築などを図る。

Toward carbon neutrality, various nuclear research and development activities are underway, relating to SMRs deployment and innovative reactors technologies. This presentation introduces JAEA's activities which could contribute to the sustainable and safe use of nuclear energy in the Pacific Rim, to share information among research institutes, remind the importance of regional safety and disaster prevention efforts, and build human networks.
