In this study, to clarify the effectiveness of shielding experiment data for reducing nuclear data-induced uncertainty of fast reactor core characteristics, the sensitivity analysis of shielding experiments based on the Generalized Perturbation Theory has been performed. In order to evaluate the sensitivity coefficients appropriately, we have developed the sensitivity analysis tool for shielding experiments based on the first collision source method. We selected a sodium shielding experiment conducted at the Tower Shielding Facility in Oak Ridge National Laboratory as the initial target for the sensitivity analysis. Using sensitivity coefficients evaluated here and those for the fast reactor core characteristics contained in the JAEA database, we will discuss the effectiveness of the mutual use of experimental data.
