Strong flux pinning by columnar defects with directionally dependent morphologies in GdBCO-coated conductors irradiated with 80 MeV Xe ions

GdBa $_{2}$ Cu $_{3}$ Oy (GdBCO)コート超伝導体に対して、80MeV Xeイオンを異なる方向から照射することにより、異なる方向の柱状欠陥を一つの試料に対して導入した。その結果、45 $^{circ}$ 方向から照射することで導入される柱状欠陥は連続形状でかつ直径が大きく、一方でc軸方向(0 $^{circ}$ 方向)から照射することで導入される柱状欠陥は不連続形状でかつ直径が小さい、ということが分かった。柱状欠陥の形態が導入方向に依存することを利用すると、臨界電流密度を効果的に向上させることができる、ということが分かった。

Evaluation of austenite volume fraction in TRIP steel sheets using neutron diffraction

The volume fractions of austenite ( $f_{rm A}$ ) in TRIP steels were evaluated using time-of-flight neutron diffraction through four methods. They include the analysis method with random texture assumption, the correction method of () peak intensities, the Rietveld refinement method using the summed spectrum without distinguishing the specimen orientations, and the combined Rietveld analysis method for textures and volume fractions. It was found that for a near-random spectrum obtained by the summation of all the measured neutron spectra, the Rietveld refinement provided a satisfactory precision for $f_{rm A}$ . Moreover, the precision was further improved through the combined Rietveld analysis method. If the texture measurement is unavailable, it is suggested to measure the neutron spectrum along the transverse direction, and to analyze the $f_{rm A}$ using conventional correction method of () peak intensities. It was also confirmed that the increment of $f_{rm A}$ evidently improved the combinations of tensile strength and uniform elongation (TSUEl).

水素侵入による980MPa級溶接金属の低温割れ限界条件

水素をチャージしたY溝高速溶接継ぎ手試験片を用いて低温割れ試験を行い、低温割れ限界条件を検討した。中性子回折法を用いて溶接部内部の残留応力分布測定を行った。ルート部では、き裂開口方向に1100MPa以上の高い引張残留応力が発生していることを確認した。

日本土壌肥料学会2010年北海道大会シンポジウムにおいて展開された、「植物栄養学研究の成果や進展議論をはかることを目的とした主要必須元素研究の現在,過去,未来」に関する議論をまとめたものである。河地は第3章「植物の元素動態イメージング解析で見えてくる栄養生理」を担当した。その中で、植物体内の栄養動態を可視化するさまざまなRIイメージング技術は、植物栄養の生理学的研究において大きなアドバンテージをもたらすことを概説した。おもに、本研究グループが開発してきたRIイメージング技術とそれによる研究成果を紹介するとともに、今後の植物栄養動態RIイメージング研究のあるべき姿を議論した。
