Chiral separation effect catalyzed by heavy impurities

We investigate the influence of the Kondo effect, namely, the nonperturbative effect induced by heavy impurities, on the chiral separation effect (CSE) in quark matter. We employ a simple effective model incorporating the Kondo condensate made of a light quark and a heavy quark, and compute the response function of the axial current to the magnetic field in the static and dynamical limits. As a result, we find that the Kondo effect catalyzes the CSE in both of the limits, and in particular the CSE in the dynamical limit can be enhanced by a factor of approximately 3. Our findings clearly show that the presence of heavy impurities in quark matter can play an important role in the transport phenomena of light quarks induced by a magnetic field.

Fundamental study of interaction between biomolecules and heavy ions in water is very important to predict an initial stage of radiation biological effects. A heavy ion irradiation experiment into droplet target assumed as a biological system in a vacuum was performed to measure production yields of cations and anions for glycine, which was ejected from the droplet target to the vacuum. However, the production mechanisms have been unknown. The PHITS code adapting ion track structure mode was used to analyze the production mechanisms from the dose evaluation at the surface between the vacuum and the water. It is found that induction yields of ionization and excitation, and dissociative electron attachment involved in the secondary electrons were correlated with the production yields of cations and anions of the glycine. The results provide us newly scientific insights to predict an initial stage of radiation biological effects.

Exact vector channel sum rules at finite temperature

In this talk, I will introduce and review several exact sum rules of the vector channel spectral function at finite temperature, which we have derived in a recent paper. I will also discuss an explicit check of these sum rules in perturbation theory and possible application to the analysis of lattice QCD data.

Recently, humankind had big discovery about neutron star, which is great big nuclear in the space. They are discovery of neutron star with twice mass of solar in 2010 and observation of gravity wave when two neutron start incorporate in 2017. In order to understand the high dense matter like the neutron star, project of experimental researches by using accelerated heavy ion beams become heated in the world, such RHIC-BES-II program, FAIR project, NICA project, etc. The J-PARC provides MW class high intensity proton beams to many experiments and researches. We have study of the heavy ion beam in J-PARC to fully utilize high intensity ability of J-PARC. We propose the accelerator scheme of the beam in J-PARC and the intensity will reach to the world record. In our talk, we will report the current status of proton beam and the accelerator scheme for the high-intensity heavy ion beam in J-PARC.
