JT-60高周波加熱装置において、近年制御システムの老朽化にともなう稼働率の低下が大きな問題となっていた。そこで、トラブルの主原因となっていたCAMACから構成される入射制御系を、マイクロプロセッサに置き換え信頼性をあげるとともに、自動入射波形設定機能を導入し、オペレータの負担を大幅に軽減させた。また、装置の監視部にはパソコンとネットワーク通信を用いたシステムに更新しシステム全体の保守機能を向上させた。この結果、RF加熱装置の稼働率が大幅に向上した。

On the JT-60 radio frequency (RF) heating system, the decrease in the activity ratio was a problem because of the deterioration of the control system. To improve the reliability, we replaced CAMAC system for a power injection control system, which was a main cause of the trouble, with the microprocessor system. And, a function of computer supported programming function of RF power injection form was introduced, which contributed to reduce a load of operators. Furthermore, personal computers with network communication were introduced to improve a maintenance ability of the control system. As a result, the activity ratio of the RF heating system was improved significantly.
