Land cover classification in Ibaraki-prefecture area using landsat-5-TM data

Landsat-5-TMデータを用いて茨城県地域の地上被覆分類を行った。最尤法による分類では教師となるべきトレーニングエリアの設定が重要である。同じ分類区分のトレーニングエリアであってもそのヒストグラム分布は地点ごとに異なっており、そのため同じ分類区分に多くのトレーニングエリアを設定して分類した。さらに分類区分の面積が農林統計値に一致するようトレーニングエリアの調整を行った。分類結果を検証したところ1987年では85%が一致していた。

The land cover classification was carried out by supervised maximum likelihood method, using Landsat-TM data. Training area selection is the most important thing. Since histograms of the same class sampling points are different, we select many training areas for each class. Also the selection of training area was changed to approach classified land cover area to statistics of agriculture and forestry. The 85% of classification from the Landsat TM data in 1987 agreed with the measurements.
