地層処分研究開発部門が実施している地層処分研究開発のうち、主として東海研究開発センターにおいて実施している研究課題について審議検討を頂き、客観的な助言を得て計画に反映し、優れた成果を効率的に得るとともに、これを処分事業や安全規制等に時宜よく反映していくため、大学や関連研究機関における専門家による「地層処分研究開発検討委員会」を設置している。本資料は、2006年7月に開催した第1回委員会の会議報告を行うものである。

In order to plan and conduct a program of research and development (R&D) for geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste in JAEA-Tokai, JAEA decided to receive technical comments and advices from the Technical Committee for geological isolation R&D. This committee, which is constituted of specialists who do not belong to JAEA, has evaluated the program, taking into account of the status of geological disposal technology in Japan as well as foreign countries. This report compiles the minutes of the first meeting held in July 2006.
