$$^{233}$$U陽子誘起核分裂特性; 放出中性子と核電荷分極

$$^{233}$$Uの11.5MeV陽子誘起核分裂における核分裂特性,分裂片からの放出中性子数と核電荷分極を精度よく求めることで、核分裂によって原子核が二つに分かれる瞬間に(切断点で)、生成する分裂片対間でどのように励起エネルギー,質量,核電荷が分配されるのかを調べた。二重飛行時間測定法で分裂片対の飛行時間を測定し、分裂片の質量分布と分裂片からの放出中性子数を求めた。この質量分布と放出中性子数とともに放射化学的手法で測定された核分裂生成物の生成断面積の文献値を評価することで、切断点での分裂片対の核電荷分極を高い精度で求めた。この核電荷分極が原子核の液滴模型と陽子数50に基づく殻効果によって説明できることを明らかにした。

Characteristics of neutron multiplicity and nuclear charge polarization have been studied in the 11.5 MeV proton-induced fission of $$^{233}$$U. Fragment mass and the average neutron multiplicity were measured by a double time-of-flight method. The most probable charges of secondary fragments were evaluated from fractional cumulative and mass yields. The nuclear charge polarization of primary fragments at scission was obtained by correcting the most probable charge of secondary fragments for neutron evaporation. The results show that the nuclear charge polarization at scission is associated with the liquid drop properties of nuclei and the proton shell effect with $$Z$$ = 50 of heavy fragments.
