高レベル放射性物質研究施設(CPF)は、高速炉使用済燃料を取り扱えるセルやPu等を取り扱える幾つものグローブボックスやフードを有するホット試験施設である。1982年より高速炉燃料を対象とした従来型のPUREX再処理のプロセス実証試験を実施してきた。2002年からは主要セル等の改造終了に伴い、高濃度溶解試験,晶析によるU粗離試験,MA分離試験,超臨界抽出試験等の先進湿式再処理開発や、乾式再処理開発を実施してきた。それらの成果は、実用化戦略調査研究やFBRサイクル実用化研究開発への基礎データとして反映されている。

Chemical Processing Facility (CPF) is the facility for the hot experiment. This facility has the cells where irradiated fast reactor fuel can be treated and globeboxes and foods where plutonium and uranium can be treated. The demonstration experiments of the conventional PUREX reprocessing process with fast reactor fuel there from 1982. After that, renovation of CPF was carried out until 2002. From then, the development of the advanced aqueous reprocessing process such as dissolution with high HM concentration, crystallization of U, MA separation and direct extraction using supercritical fluid has been carried out. the development of metal electrorefining process has been carried out, too. The outcomes of the development is used as the fundamental data for fact reactor cycle technology development project (FaCT).
