原子力機構では、地層処分研究開発部門が実施している地層処分研究開発のうち、主として東海研究開発センターにおいて実施している研究課題について、大学や関連研究機関における専門家による「地層処分研究開発検討委員会」を機構内に組織し、審議検討を通じて客観的な助言をいただくことにより、研究開発の効率的な展開と、その成果による処分事業や安全規制等への技術基盤の確立に資することができるよう、時宜よく研究開発計画の実施にあたって反映させている。本資料は、2008年3月に開催した第3回委員会の会議報告を行うものである。

JAEA organizes the "Technical Committee for Geological Isolation Research & Development", which consists of specialists in relevant fields at universities and institutes, in order to facilitate planning and conducting of a program of research and development (R&D) for geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste and TRU waste at JAEA-Tokai, through reflecting technical advices and comments made from them into the program. This report presents the minutes of the third meeting held in March 2008.
