Compatibility of cold work-treated JPCA steel and its TIG welding with flowing Pb-Bi

Corrosion test of cold work-treated JPCA steel and its TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding was carried in flowing Pb-Bi at 450$$^{circ}$$C for 1000 hours. As comparison, JPCA without cold work treatment was also tested. The results revealed that cold work treatment limited a dissolution attack from flowing Pb-Bi. At TIG weld part superficial erosion was found with no cracks or damages occurred.
