原子力施設の設計等には、中性子と原子核がどのような反応をどの位の頻度で起こすかを記述する核データが必要となる。本稿は日本原子力学会からの依頼により、核データの評価について紹介するとともに、2010年5月に公開した最新の評価済み核データライブラリーJENDL-4.0の作成手法,精度検証及び利用について解説する。

Nuclear data, which describe how an incident neutron interact with a nucleus, are required for the design of nuclear facilities. This paper deals with the evaluation methods, integral testing and utilization of the latest library JENDL-4.0, together with brief introduction to nuclear data.
