The adsorption of single molecules (i.e., tracer-amount scale) of NbOCl$$_{3}$$ and TaOCl$$_{3}$$ on quartz surfaces was explored by applying an isothermal gas-chromatographic method. Thermochemical information was obtained, in good agreement with literature data. The future accomplishment of comparative studies with DbOCl$$_{3}$$ under the same experimental conditions will provide a direct information on the volatility trend in Group-5 elements, and hence, on the magnitude of relativistic effects on dubnium's electronic structure.
