原子力機構では、FaCTプロジェクトの一環として、U-Pu-Np共回収に関する溶媒抽出技術開発を進めている。プロセス開発においては、適切なフローシート条件の設定によりU-Pu-Npの共抽出及び共逆抽出が可能であることを確認した。機器開発においては、工学規模の遠心抽出器を用いた試験において十分な抽出及び逆抽出性能を得た。また、磁気軸受を採用した遠心抽出器の高い耐久性を確認した。

In the FaCT Project, JAEA has been working on the improvement of solvent extraction for U-Pu-Np co-recovery as a part of the advanced aqueous reprocessing process (NEXT process) development. In the process development, the appropriate flowsheet condition was indicated for the efficient Np co-extraction with U and Pu, and their sufficient co-stripping. On the experiments with the engineering-scale centrifugal contactors, excellent extraction and stripping performances were obtained. In addition, the high durability of the centrifugal contactor using the magnetic bearing was confirmed.
